    Function speedOfSoundKt

    • Returns the speed of sound in knots at the given temperature. Speed of sound varies with temperature as: a = a0 * sqrt(T / T0).

      Parameters

      • temperatureCelsius: number

        Air temperature in degrees Celsius.

      Returns number

      Speed of sound in knots.
